As global attention surrounding the pandemic wanes, its lingering effects continue to impact the health of millions. Depression, anxiety, low energy, joint pain, high stress levels, circulatory problems, memory lapses or mental confusion, and the worsening of pre-existing conditions such as obesity and blood sugar continue to rise and are among the most common symptoms.
Healthcare professionals have increasingly advocated for prevention and ongoing monitoring as essential pillars of long-term well-being, complementing a balanced lifestyle. These discussions deserve careful attention and proactive support.
A clear example of this scenario is that of Mrs. Creusa, a 76-year-old woman and mother of integrative therapist Dr. Leonardo Bear. After the pandemic, Creusa experienced a sudden increase in weight and high, uncontrolled blood sugar levels, as well as depression, which directly affected her energy, vitality, and overall well-being.
With the end of the pandemic, it is now known that there is a relationship, although not fully explained, between the alarming increase in circulatory diseases and COVID-19, causing malformation of blood cells resulting in clots and thrombi. It is also widely known that obese people and those with problems controlling their blood sugar face the same risks.
Motivated by his mother's fragile health—and fully aware of the risks of advanced age and the fear of complications—Dr. Leonardo decided to unravel the hidden mechanisms behind these conditions. He sought to understand the connection between rising obesity rates, blood sugar problems, and the lingering effects of the pandemic. As a therapist, passionate about nutrition, and a devoted son, his mission was clear: to develop four natural, safe, and effective formulas that would not further burden his mother's weakened body.
The first formula would be to help regulate blood sugar.
The second formula would help with healthy weight loss.
The third formula would be to combat the harmful impact of COVID on blood circulation.
But then… something incredible happens.

"Metabolic Sabotage: The Relationship Between Obesity, Blood Sugar, and COVID-19"
The real culprit behind your inability to lose weight and control your blood sugar might not be you.
Health

The villains of metabolic sabotage.
The problem isn't your willpower, diet, sedentary lifestyle, or genetics… It's the silent war waged within your cells, led by a pair of Metabolic Villains.
The Hidden Enemy: Adipocytokines (Resistin)
You've learned that the problem is sugar, carbohydrates, or fat. But the real saboteur is something your own body produces: adipocytokines, hormones released by your adipose tissue (fat).
The worst of these hormones is resistin.
The Villain: Resistin is a pro-inflammatory adipokine that acts as a blocker in your body.
The Crime: It directly interferes with the action of insulin, the key that opens the doors of cells to sugar. With high levels of resistin, the lock becomes obstructed, causing insulin resistance and blood sugar spikes.
The Evidence: Scientific studies confirm that resistin is linked to insulin resistance and even a higher risk of cardiovascular death.
Mitochondria are cellular organelles responsible for producing energy in the form of ATP and are often called the cell's "power plants."
Definition and Function
Mitochondria are organelles present in virtually all eukaryotic cells, except for some cells like red blood cells. They play a crucial role in cellular respiration, a process that converts chemical energy from organic molecules, such as glucose, into ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is the main source of energy used by cells to perform their metabolic functions.
The Mechanism: How Resistin "Kills" Mitochondria
Resistin not only blocks insulin (which is already a problem), but also directly attacks mitochondria, the "powerhouses" of your cells.
1. The Attack on Mitochondrial Biogenesis (The Quantity)
Resistin acts as a "brake" on the cell's ability to create new mitochondria, a process called Mitochondrial Biogenesis.
The Molecular Villain: Resistin inhibits a key signaling pathway involving PGC-1α (Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma Coactivator 1-alpha). PGC-1α is the "master builder" that gives the order to build new mitochondria.
The Result: With PGC-1α inhibited by Resistin, the cell cannot replace mitochondria that die or become damaged. This leads to a reduction in mitochondrial content (fewer mitochondria).
2. The Attack on Mitochondrial Dynamics (Size/Shape)
In addition to reducing the quantity, Resistin also sabotages the quality and shape of existing mitochondria.
The Molecular Villain: Resistin induces Abnormal Mitochondrial Fission (excessive division).
The Result: Instead of long, healthy mitochondria (which efficiently produce energy), Resistin causes the formation of fragmented, small, and dysfunctional mitochondria. These "broken" mitochondria are inefficient at producing energy and increase oxidative stress (ROS production)
Summary:
In other words, body fat produces resistin, a molecule that interferes with metabolism. As the percentage of body fat increases, more resistin is released; the higher the resistin levels, the more the mitochondria—the energy powerhouses of cells—are damaged. And with damaged mitochondria, metabolism becomes dysregulated. The result? Less energy, poor glycemic control, and inevitable weight gain.
It's a vicious cycle:
More fat → more resistin → weaker mitochondria → inefficient metabolism → greater weight gain.
Lower metabolic efficiency → poorer glucose regulation → greater insulin resistance.
In summary:
It is not possible to combat obesity without combating the resistance that creates insulin resistance.
And it is not possible to overcome insulin resistance without combating obesity.

Mitochondria and obesity (The Powerhouses)

With this knowledge, Dr. Leonardo Bear identified a crucial relationship between insulin and metabolism, realizing that both processes are deeply interconnected. He understood that it was unnecessary to create two separate products — one for blood sugar control and another for obesity — because these conditions must be addressed together.
The key was to block resistin’s harmful action against insulin while simultaneously stimulating the formation of new mitochondria, and reactivating the body’s metabolic engine.
This discovery represented not only a scientific breakthrough but also a true source of hope: the possibility of restoring energy, balance, and vitality to his mother, even in the face of fragility.
Although science does not yet fully understand the relationship between long COVID and cardiovascular, thrombotic events, and the formation of blood clots and vein blockages, it is undeniable that obesity and uncontrolled blood sugar significantly increase these risks. The discovery of Resistin's interaction with insulin and mitochondrial dysfunction represented a significant advance and a hope for his mother's health. But, as an integrative therapist, Dr. Leonardo Bear sought something more: he wanted to ensure greater effectiveness and more consistent results, as he was still not satisfied.
In his own words, he summarizes his philosophy on health:
"Health doesn't come from medication or supplements; it's born from awareness, preparation, execution, and consistency in preventive and corrective processes. Health is not a finish line, it's a journey, and those who aren't interested in going through that process will compromise their health with medication in an attempt to manage problems." — Dr. Leonardo Bear
During the development of the formula and in the quest to make it more effective, he made a seemingly simple but often overlooked observation: any wellness strategy only becomes truly meaningful when the body and mind are supported in their natural state of balance.
This realization gave rise to the concept Dr. Leonardo Bear called “Rebuilding the Human Ecosystem.” The idea later evolved into a comprehensive awareness and training program that he now shares with all his patients: IMMUNOGUIDE®.
Through this program, Dr. Leonardo demonstrates exactly what needs to be done to achieve true body balance. As a therapist, he not only addresses the psychological dimension but also emphasizes the importance of seeking guidance from other professionals in their respective fields. This multidisciplinary approach creates a unique synergy, because only through such integration can the body reach complete equilibrium.
Leonardo explains with a powerful metaphor:
"For the body to be fertile and receptive, it needs to be prepared, just as a farmer prepares the soil before planting."
Thus, IMMUNOGUIDE® was created with this purpose: to restore the balance of the body and mind, often weakened by modern routines, stress, inadequate eating habits, and a sedentary lifestyle.
"Rebuilding the Human Ecosystem” – The knowledge that led to the creation of a preparation before the use of any product.
In his words:
“Our research has demonstrated a growing dissatisfaction with the isolated results of conventional methods. Often, the challenge lies not only in the approach used, but also in how the body and mind are (or are not) prepared to absorb what is offered.”
This vision led to the creation of IMMUNOGUIDE, an innovative development program designed to provide complete preparation—physical, mental, nutritional, and social. It was created to precede the launch of the brand's first product, which targets both scientific and effective ways to combat obesity and insulin resistance.
The role of IMMUNOGUIDE is not only to prepare the body and mind to maximize the benefits of our product, but also to enhance its effects synergistically and consciously. More than just a support tool for this product, IMMUNOGUIDE was designed to strengthen the results of any treatment or intervention, becoming a true ally on the journey towards health and metabolic balance.

"As mentioned earlier, modern lifestyle patterns—including chronic stress, poor nutrition, and physical inactivity—can influence the natural functions of the body and mind. These factors often affect how individuals respond to both physical and psychological wellness strategies, sometimes, this leads to less satisfactory results.
Motivated by this observation and inspired by personal experience, integrative therapist Dr. Leonardo Bear, in collaboration with the team at BEAR NUTRITION LABS, developed IMMUNOGUIDE® — an innovative health education program designed to help individuals prepare their bodies and minds for a more intentional wellness journey.
“More than just a preparation tool, IMMUNOGUIDE® is a practical and empowering methodology based on a unique therapeutic philosophy I call THE BEAR KING. The central idea is to rebuild the human ecosystem, encouraging internal balance through a holistic focus on body, mind, and lifestyle,” says Dr. Leonardo Bear.
❝Our mission is to help individuals reconnect with their natural balance, creating a stronger foundation for well-being and personal resilience.❞ — Leonardo Bear
"This is the reason behind the product — and having my mother still with me, healthy and recovered, is my greatest victory."
The IMMUNOGUIDE program presents strategies grounded in a universal logic of preparedness, designed to help people cope with the persistent challenges of well-being. Created to support the body and mind through a holistic perspective, the program encourages greater awareness and proactive engagement with personal well-being.
Structured around four interconnected pillars, IMMUNOGUIDE offers a comprehensive framework for cultivating resilience:

Of course, I couldn't help but share the most personal reason behind the creation of IMMUNOBEAR: my mother.
I won't publish her testimonial — after all, like any good mother, she would only have praise. But what I can say with complete honesty is that, after applying the IMMUNOGUIDE techniques and starting to use our health protocol with IMMUNOBEAR, her health has improved considerably, especially in aspects related to vitality, disposition and general well-being.
